CMC Showcases Its C-Product AI Suite at the 2026 Autumn Economic Forum and Says Sovereign AI Needs Control Mechanisms

CMC Technology Group used the 2026 Autumn Economic Forum in Ho Chi Minh City to present its line-up of Vietnamese-built artificial intelligence products and to make the case for domestic control over AI, Hà Nội Mới reported. The forum, held from October 26 to 29 under the theme of the convergence of new global growth poles, was attended by Prime Minister Lê Minh Hưng along with international organisations, experts and business leaders.

At its stand, CMC showed its C-Product ecosystem, which includes CLEX, C-GOV, C-AGENT, CIVAMS, CMC AI Box and CMC AI Vision. The company says the tools are meant to help with information processing, knowledge lookup, management and operations, and production and business activity. Visitors could try the products and discuss possible deployments with CMC staff.

In a session on AI sovereignty, Lê Minh, chief technology officer of CMC TS, said Vietnam should focus on two directions at once: building technology infrastructure and mastering AI solutions researched and developed by domestic companies. He described high-performance computing, data centres and transmission networks as the foundation for research, training and deploying models, and pointed to AI assistants for the legal field as an example of applying technology to specialised problems.

What it means in practice

The more notable part of CMC’s message was about control. Its representative argued that mastering AI is not only about building technology but also about controlling data, governing systems and ensuring safety. AI used at organisational scale needs clear rules on use, defined responsibility and processes for checking output; without them, deployments can create risks that undermine reliability. CMC also said regulators should define the problems they want solved and give companies room to build, while solutions should be tested for safety and effectiveness before being scaled.

CMC is one of several Vietnamese groups positioning themselves as national AI suppliers. Viettel’s 120-billion-parameter Vietnamese model anchors a sovereign AI push, while FPT has launched AI EOS, GPU Kubernetes and a token factory. In Ho Chi Minh City itself, authorities have proposed matching venture capital for Saigon AI Hub startups.

Showcase stands are not proof of results, and the report itself noted that each product should be judged on real-world outcomes and fit for each sector. What to watch next is whether C-GOV and C-AGENT win named contracts with ministries or provinces, and what figures CMC publishes on accuracy and usage once those systems are running.
